Wildflowers Glass Art Where Wildflowers Bloom in Fire & Light
My work explores the meeting place between fragility and permanence—where wildflowers, in all their softness and brevity, encounter the transformative force of fire.
I am drawn to the quiet poetry of what grows untamed: the subtle curve of a stem, the fleeting bloom, the way light moves through petals just before they fade.
Through kiln-formed glass, I transform these brief natural movements into material that holds and refracts light. Fire becomes both collaborator and catalyst, altering, fusing, and preserving what would otherwise pass.
Each piece is slowly shaped in the kiln and finished by hand, embracing the meditative rhythm of the process. The resulting forms are not literal representations, but impressions—echoes of fields, gardens, and the delicate beauty found just beyond the threshold of home.
In their glow—whether lit by candlelight or morning sun—these works invite stillness. They are small acts of preservation, where nature meets flame, and fleeting beauty becomes light made tangible.
